Summary
Eddie Diaz was not built for prison.
He was wrong when he thought that what would break him was watching his parents take the stand and declare that he has always been unstable, that it was not a surprise he ended up a criminal.
Or when they started the custody proceedings the moment they learned of his arrest.
Or when he was being taken away in handcuffs, horrified and helpless at the utter devastation on Buck's and Chris’ faces.
But the horrible realization that he lost his freedom is what threatens to undo him completely.
And the worst part?
He is innocent.OR
Buck kisses Eddie and it is the best feeling ever. Even better when they make plans to go to Texas to bring Chris back to where he belongs. But just as he's starting to crawl out of the mud that has been his life these past six months, Eddie is framed for a crime he didn't commit. -

Summary
“Hi, I’m Eddie Diaz, Jee-Yun’s Uncle.”
“Mr. Diaz, lovely to put a face to the name.” She shakes his hand quickly. “ She talks about you and your husband all the time, and so does Buck whenever he helps out.”
And Eddie should correct her. He really should. He and Buck are decidedly not married, they’re not even dating. Sure, Eddie’s though about it, of course he has. They’ve been best friends for years, his son loves him, and they’ve been sleeping in the same bed since he and Christopher got back from El Paso. But Eddie’s straight, and Buck isn’t into him like that.
He’s going to correct her. Definitely. He’s going to look at her and say–
“Yep, that’s me.”
Oh.
That’s not…
Or: Eddie chaperones Jee-Yun's school field trip, Buck gets jealous, and things spiral from there

Summary
They should all be dealing with things. Talking about their grief and wanting to move forward.
They obviously don’t do any of that.
Chris stays stuck on the events that caused him to move.
Eddie doesn’t know who he is.
Buck can’t stop falling apart.
Or what if this was a storyline after Bobby died. Everyone trying their best to heal, just hoping it happens without trying.

"Actually, I'm kind of an expert at that". Eddie feels his cheeks blush at his admission.
"What do you mean 'an expert'?"

Summary
“Can I help you?” Maddie enquired.
“We’re here to see our son, Eddie Diaz,” the woman replied with a polite smile, her gaze roaming all over Maddie's face, zeroing on her nose piercing with pursed lips, before looking back up to meet her eyes.
“Oh, right, of course-“
“Are you his girlfriend?” she interrupted before Maddie could move to the side to let them in.
That got Maddie to burst into laughter.
“Oh, no, not at all! I’m Maddie Han-Buckley, Buck's sister? And I’m married to Howard Han, who works with Eddie.”
“Ah.”At that, the atmosphere shifted before they even stepped inside the house, and as Buck appeared behind Maddie, everything got incrementally worse.
