Summary
Being fourteen and not ten, Christopher decides that it is his god-given right (they never said that in any of the services his grandparents took him to, but Chris is an excellent extrapolator) to be exactly 28.5% more dramatic than he was at ten years old. A percentage he wouldn’t have needed his calculator for if his dad had already taken him back to LA, because then he could’ve just asked Buck for the answer.
All of this to say, he decides to go for a greyhound.
Christopher Diaz decides to run away from home (again). He runs directly, somehow, into a nineteen year old Evan Buckley. They both run less directly into a nineteen year old Eddie Diaz. All three of them, in some way, are trying to run home.

Summary
Buck was riding the high of his first successful solo debut, still nursing the ache of someone who walked away, when he got news that blindsided him—his upcoming solo tour wouldn’t be so solo after all. He’d be sharing the stage with Eddie Diaz, a rising country star with a mysterious past and a sound that was quickly blowing up.
At first, Buck hated the idea. The last thing he wanted was to split the spotlight he’d fought so hard for.
But then he actually got to know Eddie.
The problem? Buck had always blurred the line between friendship and something more—and with Eddie, it was getting harder to tell the difference.

Summary
Tears peek out from the corner of Eddie’s eyes, and Buck turns back to look at him, stammering and blinking rapidly. "What's wrong?" he can hear Buck asking softly, and Eddie finds the words he tried to voice earlier.
“And I’m… I’m looking at you now. And I can’t help but think I’m making another mistake. Another regret I won’t be able to make peace with.”
Buck’s hands grip the wheel tighter, and Eddie hears the deep breath he takes as he makes the turn onto their street. He thought Buck would say something back, or just even look at him after he said that. But they sit in silence once again, Eddie unsure if he should continue as Buck parks the car in their driveway.
“Just look at me. Look me in the eyes and tell me you don’t feel the same way. That you don’t know.” Eddie says suddenly, forcing Buck to look at him.

Summary
When Buck overhears Christopher joking with his friends using homophobic slurs, it breaks his heart in a way he didn’t expect. Hearing those words from strangers had always hurt — but hearing them from the boy who once called him “my other dad” cuts deeper than anything his parents ever said.
Eddie steps in, determined to turn this into a teaching moment instead of just a punishment. With Hen’s help, Christopher learns why those words hurt and how he can use his sense of humor to build people up instead of tearing them down.
Through apologies, hard conversations, and moments of laughter, Christopher learns what it means to stand up for the people he loves — and Buck learns that even painful moments can lead to deeper love, understanding, and pride in the family they’ve built together.

“Were you scared?” Chris asks. He’s where Eddie left him, snuggled under the blankets, hair a mess, glasses off and set on the nightstand. He’s perfect.

Summary
Soulmarks are “private”—adorable, right up until a ceiling says nope, a patch says bye, and the universe flashes a two-flower spoiler in front of witnesses.
Eddie Diaz (professional “I’m fine” liar, accidental feelings hoarder, and very official next of kin) suddenly has paperwork, vigil coffee, and a horizontal problem named Evan Buckley. Between sirens and waiting rooms, the 118 weaponizes hydration, nurses decide they’re family, and Los Angeles keeps doing its dramatic best.
This isn’t destiny so much as stubbornness: flowers, fire, found family, and the world’s softest “oh.” -

Summary
Eddie's gay. Which is fine. Great, even, at least Chris said it was.
Eddie has tried, really, really hard, to let Buck know how much he loves him. But every time he is close to, the damn fire alarm goes off. And he could wait, he could wait for the shift to be over so they can calmly talk about it when they are driving home, or when they are making dinner, or any other time. Scratch that, he actually can't wait, because he knows for a fact that, tomorrow, Tommy is going to ask Buck to marry him.
Eddie is losing his mind.

Summary
Something broke inside Buck in that grocery store. Eddie’s final words kept repeating inside his head. He was right; he was always right. All Buck ever did was hurt the people around him. It was why he had never stayed in one place for long before. Because inevitably, something was wrong inside of him, a piece that meant he would never belong. After meeting Eddie, he’d fooled himself into thinking maybe things could be different...maybe Buck could have a place in LA, with Eddie… but like always he was wrong. So, standing alone in the parking lot, Buck decided to do the one thing he did best: run.
Eddie had never been good at controlling the wolf inside of him. It was always angry, unsettled, at least until Buck came into his life. The last few weeks though, without Buck, he’d lost control more than once. When Buck came to apologize, he really hadn’t meant to snap at him and it didn’t take long to regret what he said. Only by the time he went looking for Buck he was too late. Buck was gone. Eddie had to find him, and tell him how sorry he was, how he needed Buck sometimes much it hurt. He just hoped Buck didn’t get into anymore trouble.
Or my Buddie werewolf AU that no one needs, but I’m doing anyway.

Summary
—…no… ¿cómo lo vas a entender? —su voz se quebró, bajando de un grito a un susurro cargado de veneno—. Si no tienes hijos… si no tienes a nadie…
