My father—one of them, anyway—didn’t really talk about his family much. It wasn’t a complete non-subject, because it would come up sometimes and in later years, my brother and I would ask, but whenever it came up, the most my father had to say on the subject was “They’re my family, not yours, M&M.”

You have the cereal, which you put in first. That's your life.
Then you add in the milk, which fills in all the gaps; Those are your friends and family.
And then sprinkle on the sugar, those little bits of every day that make everything sweeter.
I've gone into metaphor mode again haven't I?
Sometimes it's so easy to slip into; to dodge about topics rather than directly discussing them. That way if it gets too intense, you've never actually fully put yourself on the line. Your person isn't at risk. So people become more withdrawn and take fewer risks until everyone's like a turtle, and then anyone who dares step out of their shell is crushed, the people willing to cross the line are eliminated.
And then everyone's safe.
But no-one is new.

What is the meaning of life? - of love? - of the universe? Do things truly happen for a reason or does God play dice with the universe?
The "Law of Attraction" says that similar things end up gravitating towards each other, but the idea of "Opposites Attract" says otherwise.
Which are we to believe?
For Crowley, a mechanic at Temptation Tune-Up, opposites attracting seems to be a far stretch when he meets Aziraphale, a local literature professor at Niel University. Two very different people orbiting around each other's world, yet somehow gravity is pulling them closer together.
With the help of Anathema Device, a woman with a knack for prophecies and reading between the lines, along with a few other friends, will Crowley be able to win Aziraphale from his fiance Gabriel? Or will their plans of convincing Azirphale that Crowley isn't too different fall flat and break them apart?
Based on the 1994 movie I.Q., Aziraphale and Crowley test the very laws of science for the idea that love has no law.

This is a really, really nice "feel-good" post-Mark of Cain fic with super sweet Destiel progression; the smut starts in chapter 5 and I gotta say, it's pretty great smut lol!! I wish this hadn't ended where it did though because it would have been awesome to read even more about their futures!
Sorry for so many Bookmarker's Tags too, haha! I do this to my Bookmarks because sometimes I get bored and like to filter random things I haven't read in a while.

“Well, yeah,” Dean said, glancing over at Sam. Was it this easy? Just ask an angel what the meaning of life was and he tells you the biggest secret in the universe?
“The answer is love,” Cas repeated. “Every human is put on this earth to give and receive love. Not necessarily romantic love, but to learn to love themselves and to love one another. That was my Father’s plan.”
“Love?” Dean pressed, unable to hide the skepticism in his voice.
“Dean, true fulfillment starts from within. When humans love themselves, they become most capable to love others. When you love others, you begin to change the world.”
Love, Dean thought. Why would Cas lie? He wouldn’t. So if that’s the truth, the God’s-honest Meaning of Life, Dean needed to work with this information. True fulfillment starts from within. Well that was the kicker, wasn’t it? Dean was at a complete and utter loss concerning what actually gave him fulfillment, let alone joy. So he decided that he needed to spend some quality time addressing this issue.
