Albedo finally returns to Dragonspine after the previous incident with Durin's heart to find his lab trashed and important research stolen. He and Kaeya team up once more to find the culprit.

As a nearly perfect imitation of human life, Albedo has always had a natural inclination to study other people. By far the most interesting subject he’s discovered is Kaeya, his commoner friend who doesn’t seem to care at all about Albedo’s royal title or status. But Kaeya has motivations of his own, and certainly isn’t as innocent as he appears beneath his charming smile.
