Summary
Cas’ wings shifted a little bit, raised up, crooked bones moving blackened feathers. As they lifted from the bunker’s floor, Dean couldn’t help but follow their stiff movements with his gaze. And now, it only just properly sank in, what Cas had said.
"Damaged?"
"They’re destroyed, Dean."
It was a disgusting sight.
Not because of the wounds, not because he felt repelled by his best friend’s weakened state.
Castiel, the angel of Thursday, a seraph. A being older than time, more powerful than Dean was ever truly able to completely understand, now with broken wings, in excruciating pain and so little grace that he needed sleep and nourishment. Dean was forced to clear his throat, afraid his voice would break. He needed to fix this. He had to fix it.
|| Castiel struggles with the aftermath of Rowena's attack dog curse more than he lets on and it all comes crashing down when Sam and Dean return to the bunker after a hunt. Dean is desperate to pick up the pieces.
