“Does this story have a point?” Eddie questioned, Lena narrowing her eyes at him.
“This guy, my sort of friend—what if he could watch Chris for you?”
Eddie furrowed his brows together. “You want me to leave my kid who’s halfway across the country with some—stranger?”
“It beats having him sent home to your parents, right?”
Well, she had a point there.
Eddie shook his head, overwhelmed with his thoughts.
“Look, I appreciate it Bosko, but I just—I don’t know. This is my kid we’re talking about.”
“I know that, and I know how much you love him. Hell, you’ve sent me ten plus emails when I was watching him for you.”
Eddie looked to where there was a line coming out of their commanders office. He turned to Lena, giving his full attention.
“Alright, tell me about this friend of yours.”

The one where Eddie’s in the army, Shannon gives up her rights to Chris, and Eddie needs a babysitter. Good thing Lena knows Buck, the guy having nothing better to do than help babysit until Eddie gets back. Eddie would come home, and he would leave; it wasn’t like they were going to build some lifetime friendship or anything.

“Hey, you made it! Thought you weren’t coming!” Shannon exclaimed. Not waiting for a reply, she grabbed his wrist and dragged him towards the back of the room, where a bunch of guys were standing around one of the machines. “Hey, look who showed up!”“Edmundo!” Craig, his closest friend, shouted a little too loudly. “There’s someone I want you to meet. You remember James, right?” Eddie just nodded. James was an old friend of Craig’s. They went to a different high school, but had hung out a few times at Craig’s place, playing GTA and Guitar Hero on his Playstation. “And this...” He continued, placing a hand on the shoulder of the guy beside him and spinning him around to face Eddie, “Is Evan, James’ neighbour’s grandson. He’s here for the summer to help his grandfather out.”
'Holy shit,' Eddie thought as Evan gave him a nervous smile, 'That is the hottest guy I’ve ever seen!'

Harry feels great, honestly. He’s got a loyal group of friends, big plans for the future, and he thinks he’s finally gotten the hang of how other people show emotions and how to use those emotions to get what he needs.
Plus now there’s an exciting tournament happening, Snape’s darkening mark means Harry might get his chance for revenge on Voldemort sooner rather than later, and the new Defense Professor is an absolute bloodthirsty genius.
So Harry’s great.
It’s just that Severus Snape is not doing so great. He worries if his ward will survive a year filled with danger, masked enemies, and changes happening quickly within the student body.
