The Dreamlord, Oneirus, has returned to his Sleeping Kingdom, finding it in grave disarray. Weakened, he sets out to retrieve his sacred tools, stolen, displaced, or otherwise out of his reach. Having already retrieved his helm from the hordes of The Fade, he sets out for the rest. Slighted by his love, Yavana, who stole his helmet and shattered his heart, he plans his vengeance. In due time, after some few years spent ruling a relatively calm and orderly kingdom, he finds himself face-to-face with a would-be usurper of his realm, armed with an ancient and powerful relic. All this and more, as is only custom in the Dreamtime.
Note: For anyone who is familiar with The Sandman comics, these first three chapters will be roughly adapting issues: 42, 2, 39, and the next three chapters will adapt issues 5-7, with the final seventh chapter being a clean wrap up that might, just possibly, set up new stuff in my cannon. Likely with different characters, though. Also, I recommend, (not required), that any Dragon Age (or otherwise) fans go and read the comics: The Silent Grove, Those Who Speak, and Until We Sleep, before reading this.
