She finds connections in Asterin’s story and solidarity with the witches, as they look for not only an army, but a better future.
This is a take on what could have happened if Elide decided to go with Manon and the witches after Aelin was captured by Maeve, rather than with Lorcan and the rest of the party. In keeping with my tradition, this is a piece of smut that took on a vast life of its own.

But as they work together to fight their demons, they also must grapple with political threats to their thrones as "a better world" is rarely free from obstacles.
Author’s note: I wrote this for all of us who needed some Manorian closure following KOA. I hope I’m able to do my favorite couple justice. For anyone who wants to see our Princeling and Witchling work through their trauma and finally accept their love for one another, this one's for you.
