After the death of La Signora, and his final face-off against Ei, Aether finds himself struggling with emotional pain he's never had to deal with before, let alone without his sister.

Returning from their travels in Fontaine, the weight of their travels is heavy on The Traveler. It's the last commission for the day, it was nothing unusual, just a food delivery for Sister Victoria. But this time, he wants to give up. The blond is able to make jokes and be helpful to those who need it as asual, but this time there's something different with him. He's always been able to supress his feelings, but he's on the verge of breaking. Thankfully he has a very helpful companion, and perhaps even a sweet deaconess to help him let it all out.

He felt each individual wing meticulously snapped in half by what he could assume was the hands of that wretched god. He had been praying around this time. He was praying to any deity that might have heard him to save him, but no one did. They couldn’t save him from the next step of the goddesses' plan. The last step was the removal of his wings. There was nothing that could explain the excruciating pain. The feeling of something attached to your body being ripped out of you. He felt every muscle stretch and stretch and stretch until it finally released the appendage. He remembered the feeling of blood pouring down his back. He remembered begging and pleading for her to stop. Again, his prayers for the torture to end was heard on deaf ears. He was only granted peace after his wings were gone and the darkness that held him for hundreds of years took over.
