Summary
Back in 2020, I posed the question, What if Christine and Erik opened an orphanage in the old opera house? What was meant only to be a one-year project took two because I couldn't be bothered to get to the point quickly. The story has 100 entries, each around 1,000 words. I intend to post at least once a week so you can follow along this journey with me. I can not promise this is a good story, but as the author, it made me laugh and cry. I hope you enjoy The Memoirs of a Retired Opera Ghost.

That’s exactly what Angel had told him about Erik a week ago (He’s snappy and grumpy the entire day and all sappy smiles as soon as you show up. It’s unfair). Charles turns to look at the dopey grin on Magneto’s face—the kind that puts all his pointy teeth on display, and exactly the kind that resembles Erik’s infamous grin.
Like Master, like Dragon, then. Something about that is extremely adorable and amusing in equal measures.

Charles smiles fondly at Peter’s drawing as the boy drops it on the table in a blur of silver.
It’s innocent in a way only a child’s can be. Wanda, on the right, is dressed in a red frock, while Peter, on the left, is dressed in black trousers and—what Charles infers in reference to his silver hair—a silver jacket. The man in the middle—Mr Maximoff—with short hair and a beard, clad in what looks like a plaid shirt and jeans, is holding both their hands. All three are smiling, Mr Maximoff excessively so, baring all his sharp teeth in a wide grin.
Charles knows that Peter is exaggerating, but strangely, that smile reminds Charles of his adversary from college.
Charles isn’t one to use that term loosely, nor is he someone to have adversaries to begin with. But if anyone had come close to meaning half of it, it was Erik Magnus Lehnsherr.
Even after all these years… Charles cuts his thoughts short.
