Rio ducks a strike from the blunt end of Agatha’s knife, aimed at her temple. She protests, “if you love me, why are you trying to kill me?”
“It’s how I show affection!” Agatha shrieks. Rio pauses for a second, crouched in the dirt; she’s got a point. They do tend to get a lot of their mushy feelings out by throwing each other into trees and making each other bleed.

Such a scent had only increased tenfold since the new florists had opened up next to, right next to Three Of Pentacles. It was nice, Agatha had mumbled, to not be stuck to that gross, old building anymore. The name was displayed in sweeping green serif, The White Rose, along with the logo, a skull with entwined green and purple flowers.

Agatha’s sick to death of her boring coffee shop job in the sleepy town of Westview. But her day suddenly gets a whole lot better when the florist she’s never met walks in. And it doesn’t help that she happens to be very pretty and too good at flustering Agatha.

Billy Maximoff just wanted to help… or so he says. The truth is, making a deal with Lady Death —now more commonly known as Río Vidal—, altering reality, and bringing back several lost souls (and a few not-so-lost ones) wasn’t exactly a foolproof plan. Now, he, a mix of witches, and a rabbit with PTSD all live under the same roof: the former home of Agatha Harkness in Westview.
Between fake dates, impromptu marriages, soul marks that light up at the wrong time, supernatural jealousy, badly placed spells, and an incredibly inconvenient injury to Death herself, things quickly spiral out of control. Río wants to get Agatha back, Agatha won’t admit it, the No-Coven can’t stand being in the same room, and Billy starts to wonder if leaving the multiverse as it was might have been the easier choice.
Oh, and by the way: if you see someone biting someone else... don’t assume anything. Not all vampires drink blood.

Lo cierto es que hacer un pacto con Lady Death —más conocida últimamente como Río Vidal—, alterar la realidad y traer de vuelta a varias almas perdidas (y otras no tanto), no era precisamente un plan con garantía de éxito. Ahora, él, un surtido de brujas y un conejo con estrés postraumático viven bajo el mismo techo: la antigua casa de Agatha Harkness en Westview.
Entre falsas citas, matrimonios improvisados, marcas del alma que se encienden cuando no deben, celos sobrenaturales, hechizos mal colocados y una muy inoportuna lesión de la mismísima Muerte, las cosas no tardan en salirse de control. Río quiere recuperar a Agatha, Agatha no quiere admitirlo, el No-Aquelarre no se aguanta ni en la misma habitación, y Billy empieza a preguntarse si no habría sido más fácil dejar el multiverso como estaba.
Ah, y por cierto: si ves a alguien morder a alguien más… no asumas nada. No todos los vampiros chupan sangre.

Dr. Vidal takes the wand and slowly slips it inside of her. It goes in seamlessly. Agatha’s neck feels tense, and she tries to lean her head back to loosen things up.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Dr. Vidal looks up at Agatha with big baby brown eyes. “If you’re anxious, we can stop, or I can give you a pheromone patch—”
“I’m perfectly fine,” Agatha snaps, and then she blurts out, “I’m not nervous!”
Dr. Vidal just blinks at her owlishly, and Agatha presses her lips together. Fuck. What if the doctor connects the dots? Agatha isn’t nervous, just embarrassed. It isn’t her fault she encompasses a physical body and, by objective accounts, Dr. Vidal is attractive.
And smells good.
Whatever.
“Okay,” Dr. Vidal says softly. “My apologies.”
_____OR, Agatha finds herself in a predicament: she's pregnant, single, and in her forties, and the only gynecologist that is qualified to help her is alpha Dr. Rio Vidal.
