Curiosity had overtaken Rey when she found the old datapad Han had stashed away on the Falcon. It had taken a bit of tinkering to bypass the security, but nothing could have prepared her for what she found in the file labeled “DO NOT RESPOND.”
There were hundreds of letters - all from Ben – and he was begging his dad to bring him home.
And by the time she finished listening to each letter, Rey knew one thing for certain: Ben Solo was coming home. Somehow.
The force would just have to learn to accommodate her because there was no way she would stop looking for Ben until he was back by her side.

Rey wasn’t at all sure what she’d expected would happen when Han brought the ship down on Takodana, but from the moment she’d stepped foot on the planet, a weird sort of anticipation had crawled up her spine, the tightness in her stomach reminding her of the moment right before a sandstorm made its way across the Jakku desert. Something was about to happen.
It wasn't until she found herself lost in the Takodana Forest and facing a strange masked figure wielding a crackling red blade that she realized just how much she'd gotten in over her head.
