"Why don’t we pretend to date? Imagine the look on his face.”
Madara holds his breath as he waits. Tobirama studies him, eyes always calculating and ten steps ahead of everyone else. Madara stares right back, refusing to back down.
Tobirama stands up, easily slipping free of Madara’s hands as he moves, fluid like a cat. And the next moment his hands are braced on the arms of Madara’s desk chair, looming over the other man in a show of casual dominance that does not make Madara’s blood rush.
Tobirama’s lips brush Madara’s ear as he speaks, drawing a shudder from the man below him.
“I believe I made my stance on being my brother’s stand-in very clear already,” he says. Madara’s eyes slip closed, a rush of bliss even in the face of another rejection.
