Summary
genderbend au because i'm ill about the idea of lesbian deacon x sturges (their shipname is sturgeon , which is something i independently decided three years ago and never publicized because no one ships this)
"everything in the world came down to what deacon knew in the end , everything sturges didn't . deacon was a coward who let herself love another in the selfish hopes that it was another secret she could lock within her chest forever . she was a sucker for the easy smile of a big southern butch , weak against the genuine interest she had in deacon . above all else though was the simple knowledge that sturges , genial and sweet , loved deacon knowing she hardly knew a thing about her . that , for the time being , would have to be enough ."

Summary
Stephen Meeks stood over a box of old photos and yearbooks in the bedroom of his apartment, brows furrowed ever so slightly as he picked up a small collection of photos (supposedly from senior high) that had been tucked safely into an envelope. As he opened said envelope with steady hands, he wondered to himself what kinds of pictures were inside. The ginger had changed a lot since he attended Welton Academy, in fact he could barely remember who he was back then. It had only been a few years since graduation, but he could hardly remember who anyone else was either.
