Summary
A week after Jack left, he brought Castiel back from the Empty — whole, alive, and standing in front of Dean like nothing had changed, though everything had. Dean’s grateful. Of course he is. But now that Cas is here, really here, Dean is left face-to-face with everything unsaid between them. He knows what Cas confessed before dying, and worse — he knows damn well what he feels in return. But saying it out loud? That’s another story entirely, because there's something broken inside of him.
Dean asks Cas for something no one’s ever asked of him before: to go back in time, to the moment something broke, and stop it from happening. Stop the moment that taught Dean to be afraid of what he wanted most. Stop the moment Dean got broken.
Stop John Winchester.

Summary
The worst part of dying and going to heaven at the tender of age forty-one only a week after defeating the one and only God -- outside of dying and going to heaven at the tender age of forty-one only a week after defeating the one and only God -- was that now that Dean had eternity with Cas in his house and his dad up the road, Dean was going to have to have a conversation he’d dedicated the majority of his teens and young adulthood to avoiding. Dean was going to -- Sam, no one needs that many flags -- have to -- Sam, put the decorative soaps away, seriously -- come out.
Needless to say, it does not go over well.

Summary
[podfic version]
Dean’s flanked on either side by a wall of angelic protection, thick and soft and ineffable. It takes a few, agonizing seconds for him to notice that isn’t right, another few to source out why—the entire front of his body should have combusted from the heat and fire—and as the debris clears around them, flames smoldering from the initial blast-wave, Dean blinks the smoke from his eyes and opens them to see…The shadow of two colossal wings, blanketing them both.
*
Castiel uses his wings to protect Dean on a hunt gone awry.
