Here we are post-Village, after the boys, surviving and with Miranda dead, have been hauled back to the US to decide just what's going to happen with them. They encounter some unexpected allies when they get there, though.

Johnny looked at him like he had gone mad, and Ghost resisted the urge to fidget. Few people could throw Ghost off his game the way the Sergeant did, but the surprise on the man’s face did something to his stomach that he decided not to think about. “I- uh. You sure, LT? It’s a lot of work,”
Mother MacTavish said something again, and Johnny pulled his phone back to his ear, still watching Ghost as if waiting for him to deliver the punchline of one of his terrible jokes. “Yeah, I’m still here, sorry Mam. I, uh, might have a helper. Would it be alright t’ have my uh, Lieutenant come help?”
More chatter. Johnny’s mother sounded… loud. But Johnny grinned. “A-aye, that one, Mam. Aye, alright Mam, we’ll see ya then. Get th’ guest room up?” The response was distinctly scolding, and Johnny bit his lip to suppress another smile. “Aye, love ya too. Tell the girls hi for me, aye?” When the call ended, Johnny set the phone down on the cot beside him and looked at the masked man still standing awkwardly in his room. And he smirked. “So, LT. You ever worked with sheep?”Oh yes. He had made a terrible mistake.

The need to hide, to curl up in a warm, soft den, was cowed only by his mate’s powerful arms wrapped around him, swiftly, easily carrying him like some silly human bride they had seen on the shore once. “Shit,” he groaned as the latest spasm subsided. Contractions, and they both knew it.
“Easy, love,” Ghost murmured, holding onto his mate all the tighter. They were in familiar territory, now; he recognized the distinct marking carved into a piece of rock. “I think I ‘ave a place for us to go.”

Summary
Nowadays, Haddonfield, Illinois is a normal, quiet place. The people are a little old-school, and it's tough being a working young woman in a town so mild. Your job is pretty much a mirror for its backdrop--gray, normal, and quiet. Well, not so quiet with your grating coworker who has been asking you to go out with him since he started working at the desk next to you, but that's normal to you now, too.
What isn't normal is what happens the week before Halloween. A bus crashes, a town-wide manhunt begins, and this somehow leads to the slasher distribution system depositing the infamous Michael Myers in your backyard. Now he's stalking you, killing people for you, and leaving them as "presents" for you on your porch.
Guess you should have appreciated normal while you had it.

Nerissa is willing to dive down into a creepy underwater cavern on a treasure hunt. The rumor she heard in passing didn't exactly warn her about the fish guy who collected all damn treasure though! She feels as if she walked into that old comic about the attack of the fish men.
No comic or rumor could've prepared her for the guy's honest to god vibrating tongue or the freaky business between his legs. Neri was never one to back down from a challenge, and so- she makes a real good friend in an underwater cave full of junk.
