This was so well done. I love that the characterization is both excellent and includes laughing at itself - and the characters laughing at themselves and each other without reducing anyone to one note. I love the concept that drives the plot and find that what happens to the people sucked into it, when all the right ingredients are thrown together, seems like the only reasonable outcome. I love the random tastes of nerdery that indicate integration of the author's own nerdery and/or research. And I love how even it all is - a thing that I'm not sure is meant to arise from my own writing, but which is so good in this rom-com-ish genre when it's well done. And this truly is.
Folks who are mad at me for not yet writing a sequel to Inconspicuous are likely to enjoy this story as well - I only ask that you remember to come back around and check in as I work on leveling up once this has blown me out of the water.
