Summary
It's been 12 years and Sirius Black has finally broken out of Azkaban - and he's a broken man who has lost hope in himself and others. Now, he’s on a revenge mission to protect Harry and the next generation from Tom Riddle, and he’s joined by some very unexpected allies.
Abandoned by everyone he’s loved and dealing with the mental aftereffects of spending 12 years in solitary confinement surrounded by dementors, he pushes everyone away, including Remus Lupin, who is wracked by memories, guilt, and want.
Is there enough of Sirius left to find new connections and family in the werewolves on the run from Greyback and Voldemort? As he tries to rebuild his life and his mind, Sirius and Remus navigate the repercussions of what they’ve lost and maybe could find again.
Note: This fic is on the darker side, we deal with suicidal ideation, anger, pain kinks, as well as some more hardcore intimate scenes, some gore, and character death that might not originally be considered major characters, but they may be here
Written mostly in Sirius’s POV, but we do jump to Remus sometimes, and there are throwbacks to their time at Hogwarts as well.
