Megumi groaned and dropped his overnight bag near the rickety desk, eyeing the peeling wallpaper like it might peel itself off and curse them too. “I’ll take the floor.”
“You’re going to break your back,” Yuji said, already toeing off his shoes and poking at the mattress. It squeaked ominously.
“I’d rather break my back than get elbowed in the face by you two all night.”

“No, x is a hostage,” Izuku says, circling it in red. “And y is leverage. You don’t negotiate with hostages, you manipulate the leverage.”
“…What?”
A blink. Silence.
Todoroki, deadpan: “He’s right.”

Izuku Midoriya was just trying to do some quiet, slightly-illegal investigating when things went off the rails—again. Now he’s the leader of a half-functioning team of chaos goblins: Killua (stabby), Anya (unpredictable), and Nao (walking violation of several laws).
After a botched mission and some property damage, they’re stuck under Aizawa’s watchful eye, doing “community service” that suspiciously looks like solving real crimes.
They’re not licensed. They’re not trained.
But somehow, they might just be what the world needs. Or at least what Aizawa’s headache doesn’t.

The fabric ripped when he tried to pull it off. The seam under the arm gave up completely.
Izuku let out a sound like someone had just whispered that All Might was a fake and quirks were a government conspiracy. A low, mournful wail echoed in the alley, startling two cats and making a salaryman cross the street.
Aizawa didn’t look up when Izuku shuffled into the staff lounge like a kicked puppy.
“Midoriya,” he said, taking a long sip of coffee, “why are you dripping water on my floor?”
Izuku flopped into the chair across from him. “It’s over.”
Aizawa raised an eyebrow.
“My hoodie,” Izuku whispered, “has transcended this mortal realm.”
A pause.
A sip of coffee.
Then: “It was a hoodie.”
Izuku gasped like Aizawa had just called All Might a benchwarmer.

Izuku Midoriya sat cross-legged on the squeaky chair in the cramped basement of U.A. High, sipping cold tea from a mug that read ‘Empathy Is My Superpower’. He leaned closer to the mic, a smile in his voice.
“Oh buddy, you called the right place.”
A beat passed. Then came a wobbly laugh.
Redemption Hotline – Call #274. Caller: “GoopMaster89.” Quirk: gelatinous acid hands. Current crime level: 3 (minor theft, some light property damage, poor self-esteem). Diagnosis: society-failed-you syndrome. Prescription: sass, snacks, and a little validation.
Izuku queued up a care package order—including lavender-scented stress putty and a custom sticker that read “You’re not evil, just under-hugged”.
The hotline had started as a joke. A way to keep would-be villains from spiraling by letting them talk to someone who wasn’t going to yell or arrest them. Nobody expected anyone to actually call.
Until they did.
And then they kept calling.
