    Summary

Maitimo wakes up on an unknown beach, in the haze of an unfamiliar light that isn't the Trees, to a strange song so sad he cannot comprehend the depth of the singer's sorrow having never experienced such himself in all his years of living.

He contemplates the yellow ball of light rising in the sky. The colours of the world are all wrong. Both the sky and the sea are a vibrant blue that he'd never seen before, when usually Laurelin paints the sky in a golden orange halo and what parts it touches the sea turns a wine deep burgundy. Maitimo suspects that he might be dreaming still, but the sand under his legs is coarse and grainy and stubbornly sticks to his skin in a way that is all too annoyingly like reality, and he knows his own imagination is not so wild as to come up with something as fantastical as a light orb in the sky in place of the Trees...
    -------
Nelyafinwë Maitimo, a prince of the Noldor in the peaceful Years of the Trees in Valinor, wakes up in the Third Age on a near empty beach in Middle-earth. Maglor Fëanorion, kinslayer and exile, is faced with a ghost wearing the young and unmarred face of his dead brother who is so pure he doesn't even know what the Sun is.

    Summary

Fifteen-year-old Mariam wakes up in a strange forest, one that is very much unlike anywhere she has seen before, and runs into a man claiming to be from a book she couldn’t even be bothered to finish. Then she discovers he is not human and has to accept that this is her new reality now. While Finrod is out hunting with Maedhros and Maglor, he stumbles upon a child wandering in the forests of Ossiriand, whom he believes to be one of the Secondborn, the long-prophesied second kindred made by Eru. Determined to take her with him and protect her at any cost, the two set off on a long and perilous journey across Beleriand to reach Finrod’s home. This is going to be fine...

    Summary

Ugh,” Fingon says when he wakes up. His head feels both tender and thick, and the brilliant golden Tree-light hurts his eyes. He hasn’t felt so bad after a Gathering of the Fruits since the first time his father deemed him old enough to attend. The miruvórë Yavanna makes with her own fair hands from the honey of the undying flowers in her Garden is only offered at the high festivals, and it’s dangerously light, clear, and sparkling. It’s as easy to get swept away by it as it is to find oneself caught in the jaws of an undertow when swimming in the Bay of Eldamar, carried beyond oneself by a sense of wellbeing and mirth as inexorably as being carried out to sea.

“Ugh,” someone agrees, and Fingon rolls over to find Maedhros in his bed, hair a red-brown tangle like seaweed on the pillow and his usually fair face decidedly pallid.

    Summary

Maglor has been wandering the shoreline for literal millennia. He hadn't heard another voice in almost as long. He is, understandably, quite disoriented when a loud human interrupts his perfectly peaceful brooding.

After the disaster of the Dragon Hunt, Jaskier goes to the coast on his own. Things don't really go as planned, but who cares? Peace is overrated anyway.

In which there are language barriers, found family, guilt crises, several long-overdue realizations, and, eventually, a very confused Geralt.
