Summary
He uses a necklace, one made by his father. The symbol of their house, made from an alloy of iron and Formenos red lead that made it shine like a mirror, that kept away rust and corrosion. It was no golden treasure, simple as it was, but Maglor wore it close to his heart anyway.

Summary
Maglor must find the twins. If he finds the twins, perhaps they'll have a chance. Perhaps the elder Peredhel shall return, and trade back their father's work for her own precious creations. Perhaps the blood shed this day will not have been in vain. Perhaps Maedhros will be able to meet his eyes in triumph once more.
Maglor must find Elwing's children, he must, and so he searches.
(Maglor finds another El instead.)
(Aka: Giving Maglor an estranged daughter, and then dropping her into a kinslaying for him to find. This can't possibly go wrong!)

Summary
Maitimo wakes up on an unknown beach, in the haze of an unfamiliar light that isn't the Trees, to a strange song so sad he cannot comprehend the depth of the singer's sorrow having never experienced such himself in all his years of living.
He contemplates the yellow ball of light rising in the sky. The colours of the world are all wrong. Both the sky and the sea are a vibrant blue that he'd never seen before, when usually Laurelin paints the sky in a golden orange halo and what parts it touches the sea turns a wine deep burgundy. Maitimo suspects that he might be dreaming still, but the sand under his legs is coarse and grainy and stubbornly sticks to his skin in a way that is all too annoyingly like reality, and he knows his own imagination is not so wild as to come up with something as fantastical as a light orb in the sky in place of the Trees...
-------
Nelyafinwë Maitimo, a prince of the Noldor in the peaceful Years of the Trees in Valinor, wakes up in the Third Age on a near empty beach in Middle-earth. Maglor Fëanorion, kinslayer and exile, is faced with a ghost wearing the young and unmarred face of his dead brother who is so pure he doesn't even know what the Sun is. -

…, and to related works, made for the reason that they have clearly been censored by Pengolodh and other intermediaries, and with the goal to preserve a fuller context for the following generations.
An in-world set of annotations to the Silmarillion, chapter-by-chapter (ideally to be read along the book), including, among others: burning of manuscripts; difficult questions; a mysterious (not very) narrator with Opinions; personal anecdotes about the Valar and others; complaining on Pengolodh; a bunch of my headcanons (some more directly mentioned than others); narrator's trauma spilling onto the page;
typos;asking for sources; long list of "things I need to to say to various people when you meet them"; more guilt and trauma; and hopefully, as much fun in the reading as I have in the writing. Also, now with paragraph number reference and less typos!Edit: Ha! I finished it! :D

Summary
Two years ago, in the Summer, Maglor and his brother took in twin elflings on what was the worst day of the children’s lives. Seventy-six years before that, the solstice had heralded their own living nightmare. As the days grow longer and warmer the four of them find ways to help each other reckon with the ghosts of the past.
Written for the Silmarillion Writers Guild Gates of Summer Challenge prompts: “… cast up exhausted on the shoals of August”, Nirnaeth Arnoediad and Loendë (midsummer).

Summary
“You are not well,” Findaráto repeats, and then he takes out his small harp and plucks a melody, humming to it.
Makalaurë thinks he must be dreaming, must be applying Finno’s actions to himself – it cannot be true, there cannot be two cousins, two harps, two approaches, in one day. It is too much, the old blood is too fresh, the deaths are too many, it cannot be true.It is the day of Maedhros' rescue, and Maglor is struggling.
Unexpectedly, he meets Finrod, whom he has not seen since Aman. -

Summary
"He will outlive them all, Maglor will. He will raise sons, watch one be buried, he will live to sing and at some points, even laugh. And every day of his life will be measured against this day. Not the day he spills blood into the water but the day before, the one he spends watching the Teleri harbour. Against the sounds of people living and dreaming, unaware as to the ways in which people covet the dreams of others and name it need. A snatch of poetry comes to him, a series of minor chords, and he files them away automatically, for later. And that is when Maglor realises he is no different from the others waiting upon the dock. That he too, has begun to dream Teleri-dreams."
____________
One day before the First Kinslaying at Alqualondë, Fëanor and his sons sit on the docks and watch the Teleri build their swan-ships. -

Or: Maglor is found by a bunch of Hobbits and a peculiar Man. And instead of being proper scared of him, they decide to take in that feral cat.

Summary
"Hail, Prince Nolofinwë, Son of Finwë!" Makalaurë's strong voice travelled through the crowd, and perhaps even the entire encampment.
"Hail, Prince Makalaurë, Son of Fëanáro!" his uncle greeted back, face blank like it always had been in court.
"I come to you as Herald and Ferryman, at the behest of Crown Prince Nelyafinwë Maitimo," Makalaurë explained. "I have brought to you the Telerin swan-ships as is his wish for you to join our father's host on the shores of Beleriand."
"That is most gracious of Crown Prince Nelyafinwë," Nolofinwë spoke up, quieting down the crowd once more.
"But what of High King Fëanáro?" he asked, a pointed edge to his tone. "Has he also sanctioned our retrieval?"
--------Maglor sails back to retrieve his uncle's host. However, there are strained family and political situations to contend with, and a message to deliver from Maedhros to Fingon. The problem is, the message is a kiss.

Summary
From the waters of Alqualondë to the ruins of Tol Himling, the Oath pulls and pushes, waxes and wanes: binds the sons of Fëanor together, and just as fiercely drives them apart—until they are nothing but a song on the wind, and a singer by the shore.
[Or: Maglor loses his brothers, one by one.]
