Summary
When he was fifteen, Barty fell in love with a boy who accepted him as he was and loved him back, despite his differences. He was happy and full of hope.
When he was eighteen, Barty gave birth to his daughter alone. His lover had been declared dead and his own father was the enemy. He was alone, but there was still hope.
By the time he was nineteen, the disappearance of his daughter, probably kidnapped by Black and the Order, had radicalised Barty cause and he ended up being sentenced to torture to death by Dementors by his own father. He was full of hatred, but mostly devastated.
At the age of thirty-two, when Barty's name had changed to Alastor Maugrey, he discovered a Muggle-born girl wearing jewellery he had never forgotten. For the first time in such a long time, there was hope again.
