"Uhm, hello. I'm Aziraphale," Aziraphale said as he gave a nervous chuckle. He tried to keep his hands from making any flighty movements.
He had seen this angel in passing before, and he admired the redhead's work from a distance. He wasn't sure what rank they were, but that didn't matter too much to him. What mattered was that he was shockingly talking to that same angel he thought so highly of!
"Yeah, hi," the redhead greeted back swiftly, but not quite unkindly. "Don't suppose you need to pop off elsewhere?"
"Oh, no! Nothing important, no," Aziraphale verified, perhaps too quickly. "I was simply... admiring the area."
"As was I.” The redhead tilted their head as the corner of their eyes crinkled in crow's feet as a ring glowed around where their halo was hidden beneath the red locks. "Cherub, you are? Right?"

But that’s the whole reason he’s here, isn’t it? He’s not out here hunting Humans. He’s not even hunting deer, or bears, or anything else that featured in Bambi. He’s out here, freezing his nuts off every night, because he’s hunting Angels.
Sometimes Dean wishes that Angels were like how they’re described in the Bible. How people from time too old for him to care much about thought Angels were messengers and warriors of God, protectors of Humans. He knows that how they’re really described in the Bible is actually pretty terrifying, but at least they were told by God that they’re supposed to love Humans, right?
That’s a thousand times better than what Angels really turned out to be.

Summary
When Dean, a little lost and a little lonely, finds himself wishing on a star one night, he doesn't expect anything to come of it, and certainly not for the star in question to fall right out of the sky. The very last thing that he could have possibly anticipated is Castiel - winged, angry and looking for the grace that he lost in the fall, so that he can get back to Heaven.
Dean's a little fascinated by Castiel, and Castiel is intrigued by Dean and his seafaring life. But Castiel has to go back to Heaven, and finding the grace has to be his first priority, even though it often seems he would rather put Dean first. But Dean knows it's foolish to hope. After all, a bird may fall in love with a fish - but where would they live?
