Summary
Something jolts him awake. Surprisingly, that something is riddled with promising warmth. He lets out a small whine. He doesn't find the thought of opening his eyes particularly favourable right now.
“Can you hear me?” someone asks beyond the static ringing in his ears. “If you can hear me, can you open your eyes?”
Techno manages to find a bit of strength in him to squint his eyes open. Everything is blurry, he can feel icicles hanging from his eyelashes like butterfly cocoons. Yet, a silhouette forms in his vision. He focuses on a brown-haired man kneeling in front of him. His gaze is distraught and concerned, and Techno couldn't be bothered to wonder why.
OR
Nether-born Techno is stuck in the snowy parts of the Overworld.

Wilbur prepared himself to greet Technoblade, but only a confused noise came out of him the moment he laid his eyes on the piglin. He looked..different.
Not in a bad way, but in a very eccentric, out-of-character way. Hell, he had the ears of a bunny! Had he missed Halloween? Is this what this is? Are they all playing dress-up now? If so, Wilbur would have very much preferred if someone had actually told him.
“Nice outfit?” the older settles on instead. “It's January.”
OR
Wilbur gets transported to the Origins SMP and meets bunny hybrid Techno. They both get pretty confused quickly.

His lungs feel like someone’s put all their weight on them, making it almost impossible for him to keep his breath, his throat stings with each gasp he gives. His chest feels like burning, and then the world becomes blurry. He rests his head on its side, staring at a door.
He heaves, trashing weakly on the ground, before his eyes close he hears a door opening, and a shadow figure stares back at him from the door, no specifical form other than its bright red and blue eyes.
He passes out after that.
He wakes up with a gasp, lifting himself from the ground. He can’t remember what happened that made him pass out.
But it doesn’t matter, he has bigger problems, like the fact that he didn’t wake up at the hotel hall.

EDIT: this work was created before Wilbur was revealed to be an abuser. I stand by Shelby in this situation with all my heart, my best wishes go to her. However this work is important to me and i do not want to let go of it just yet. Its my interpetation of wilbur and even if i used his character i put some of myself in this story and i am not ready to let that go just yet. Fuck wilbur what he did was horrible. if anyone can tell if there is way to private works on here id be happy to do that.
The kids liked Wilbur. He was really nice to them even though he had a lot of work and always seemed tired and sometimes flinched weirdly. He was a bit weird to them. But to the kids that was basically anyone older than them. In the later evening, when all the kids were asleep or at least in their bed pretending to be asleep, Wilbur walked up to an old oak door with iron forging and knocked on it carefully. His hands were shaking, not much, but if it focused on them you could see it pretty clearly.
