Summary
Aziraphale never accepted his fall, and hardly seemed to ever want to acknowledge his role as a demon at all.
Crowley had been there when Aziraphale was kicked out of heaven, and decided that Heaven's ruling was less than fair.
Aziraphale simply wants to reascend, something never before heard of, and Crowley has been trying his damn hardest to get kicked out of Heaven to join Aziraphale and show him that the demon thing really wasn't that bad.
But outside forces seem to be working against the both of them:
Aziraphale seems to harm anything he tries to help, and despite his insistence on being 'good,' has seemed to set off quite a few unfortunate events within humanity, and qualifies as one of Hell's Top Demons of The Month on a monthly basis.
Meanwhile, Crowley has found that his mischievous deeds often result in more good than chaos, and has also learned that it's hard to balance out the good of the creation of an entire universe with minor misdeeds.
