Los Slytherin descubren que el secreto para la animagia tiene mucho que ver con la honesta conexión emocional, algo que toda su vida han intentado suprimir y controlar. Su viaje hacia la Animagia pasa de una táctica a ser un camino de autoconocimiento, confianza, miedos, aceptación, vulnerabilidad, redención y amistad.
Los Merodeadores, por otro lado, al espiarlos creyendo que traman algo extraño, descubren que esos jóvenes también luchan contra sus propios demonios, y que en el fondo no son tan diferentes a ellos, prometen entonces evitar que sigan el camino de la oscuridad, sin sospechar que al hacerlo ellos mismos empezarán a tener sentimientos más allá de la simple compasión y a madurar comprendiendo que no todo es blanco o negro.
La animagia podría cambiar el destino de la guerra magica y también el futuro de estos jóvenes magos.

After a period of torture, an unexpected magical incident frees Theseus, but the Auror finds himself a man out of time (and an assumed casualty of the war against Grindelwald) and has to deal with both the third war of his lifetime as well. How will he handle his new time, especially with a new war so close to starting? And how will people in the new time- specifically, Harry Potter and friends- react to this war hero out of time?
Starts in 1933, so mentions Nazis, the Gestapo, SS, and SA, and a certain Austrian painter. -
