Keith is a broke college student that makes his tuition money off of selling his own pornography on Solely-fans. To not bother a roommate, Keith lives alone in his own off-campus apartment.
Lance is at the same college as him on a competitive swim scholarship. He lives on campus with his roommate and bestie, Hunk.
Keith starts a video and gets pretty far when Lance ends up calling him, and who is Keith to decline a call from Lance? The call takes a turn for the worse (or for the better?) when Keith can’t stop himself from letting go.

“Everything’s fine, Lance is just being dramatic,” Keith said as he nudged Lance towards the entrance of the rickety cable car.
“I’ve got a bad feeling about this,” Lance grumbled as he stepped into the cabin, the car creaking under his weight.
“I’m sure it’s fine,” Keith assured, though his pulse spiked when it protested again as he got in after him.
Or: They should really listen to Lance’s instincts more often.

Summary
A lot has happened since Katara and Sokka found Aang in the ice. Back in the Earth Kingdom to find an Earth bending teacher for Aang they’re confident that they can face anything in the way without anyone else unless it’s Aang’s teacher.
But when Aang has a vision of a mysterious man with feline creatures in a swamp and found him for real Aang suddenly and quickly forget how kidnapping is illegal.

What Lance and Keith is doing is definitely illegal. They should know, they made the rules, but coming across a planet with alien life that looks and acts exactly like humans who were they to resist the temptation to blending in with an undiscovered alien civilisation? How were they supposed to know this world had magic people who could move elements with their mind? And what the heck was the Avatar?
AKA Lance gets kidnapped by some kids and decides magical powers/destined saviours or not they need adult supervision.
AKA Keith gets stuck with a ansgsty prince, a tea loving uncle, goes through hell trying to find lance, make sure they don’t die, and resist the urge to commit manslaughter or homicide.
He succeeds at most of that stuff.

"So I'm like some kind of military wife?"
The question made Keith laugh and soon their were both stifling giggles.
He reaches a hand to cup lance's cheek. "Yeah," he laughs, "like some kind of military wife. Just promise me-"
"I promise nothing kogane, but I will wait." His tone was sure when he added the last part and reached up to rest his hand on keith's.
AKA after the end of the show this is how they actually get together and this is totally cannon trust me.

Sam and Matt bonding with him in a way that was different from the men in his own family, but equally as enjoyable.

“Yeah, started my birthday with some nightmares. It's great,” Lance halfheartedly joked. He straightened up, expecting a chat with the man. Takakura wasn't the greatest conversationalist, but he always gave his attention.
But Takakura just walked away. No birthday wishes. Not a wave. None of his dismissive grunts. Nothing in the way of literally any sort of acknowledgment.

Keith had always been an absolute unit during their relationship. He'd been pretty much solid muscle, while still managing to pack some thick thighs and ample ass, but then his time in the Quantum Abyss aged him enough to have another growth spurt. Lance had gotten a little taller since then too, but it wasn't enough to put them back at the same level as before. Being taller and now having love handles, there was MUCH more of Keith for Lance to appreciate.

When Pidge, Hunk, and Lance take off to join Keith and rescue Shiro only to launch into space, the Galaxy Garrison didn’t reveal much to the parents about where their missing students went, just spouted some cold line about them disappearing after a training accident. Deserters, they claimed.
The McClains-particular Mama McClain-refuse to believe this, and hold onto the prayer that somewhere, somehow, their brother, uncle, nephew, son, is safe, and will be home soon. When the sky darkens though, it becomes much harder to hold up that hope and it keeps Mama McClain up late into the night.
