Aether n'aurait jamais dû se réveiller seul, sur une plage inconnue, et avec une douleur continue dans tout son corps, pourtant c'est le cas. Désespéré le jeune homme tente de partir à la recherche de sa jumelle, mais retrouver sa trace est beaucoup plus difficile qu'il ne le pensait : il ne connaît pas cette langue, des souvenirs lui manquent, et il semble être obsédé par les lumières rouges qui peuplent ces terres.
Aidé d'une compagne de voyage sauvée de la noyade, Aether se dirige sur le chemin de la Vérité, enfin c'est jusqu'à ce qu'il ne bouscule les lignes énergétiques de ce monde et qu'un autre homme étrange portant un maque de démon ne vienne se dresser sur son chemin.
NOTE : je sais, je sais, racontée comme ça l'histoire ne semble pas forcément intéressante, mais je vous promets qu'elle vaut le coup !

Returning from their travels in Fontaine, the weight of their travels is heavy on The Traveler. It's the last commission for the day, it was nothing unusual, just a food delivery for Sister Victoria. But this time, he wants to give up. The blond is able to make jokes and be helpful to those who need it as asual, but this time there's something different with him. He's always been able to supress his feelings, but he's on the verge of breaking. Thankfully he has a very helpful companion, and perhaps even a sweet deaconess to help him let it all out.

wanted to say, his regrets, his sorrows, and his anger towards the things around him.Sure, he has a companion who has accompanied him since the beginning, but he doesn't want to burden her nor his friends that he has come across making his sorrows come to deaf ears.

Summary
After the death of La Signora, and his final face-off against Ei, Aether finds himself struggling with emotional pain he's never had to deal with before, let alone without his sister.
A chance encounter with someone thought to be an enemy, leads to him finding a companion who shares his pain, and a new way for him to approach this cruel world.

Reality had hit Childe hard, after his father forbade him to see his siblings, he realized that he did not have a single friend, there was not a single person who validated his existence in this world, at least that's how he felt.
Childe has really fallen low, following that current of thought has plunged him into an abyss of anguish and despair from which he cannot escape. "Life has no sense...", his corrupt mind repeats tirelessly, his body has stopped responding to him some time ago and the sensations have begun to distort.
On what he thinks will be another day sunken into darkness, suddenly, a sweet voice tickles his ear and a light surrounds him with warmth...

Aether has realized relatively recently, that he is traumatized. He just blames his ex-boyfriend for his intrusive thoughts, the more he analyzes what happened, the more his heart hurts and the more he degrades himself. There are only two reasons why others like him, either he is useful or they desire his body, only his sister is the one who has shown him the warmth of someone who truly loves him, and still, sometimes, his mind betrays him looking in the small details to classify her along with the rest.
