Summary
Everyone has a small, glowing bar above their head that signals how familiar/intimate they are with their soulmate, and each persons bar is a different color which matches that of their soulmate's.
This bar fills up with a liquid called 'Desire,' every time they grow closer to their soulmate. When a pair's bar is full, the two are bonded for life.
If the bars of two soulmates break, however, it is told that those two are either no longer soulmates, or one soulmate has passed away.This bar, of course, is invisible to the naked eye, and every person has only one. No one in history has been able to spot this bar, nor has ever had two bars.
That's how the soulmate bars worked.
