After destroying the hexcore, Viktor and Jayce wake up in a place far from home and must find their way back. As their journey begins, Viktor struggles with the guilt from the events that occurred only days before, while Jayce does everything he can to keep his “best friend” safe from further harm. As it continues, the pair search deeper within themselves and grow closer than ever before. But only when each learns to love himself, do they begin to truly love each other.

He can imagine it. Jayce coming home with a goofy smile on his face, proudly proclaiming he’s met someone. He would need to leave the cottage of course. There would be no more sharing a bed or even living together if Viktor wanted Jayce to have a real semblance of normality. The cottage would be so empty without him. No one would hold him when he cries, but really that would be fine. He doesn’t deserve it anyways. He deserves to be forgotten here, and maybe he can begin to atone for his past, starting with helping Jayce become happy.

Feeling guilty about everything that occurred with the Hexcore, Viktor makes it his mission to help Jayce have a new, normal life, starting with helping him find a romantic partner. He didn't anticipate how painful that would be for him though.

“Don’t.”
The word came out sharp, almost like a snarl.Viktor flinched at the intensity in his voice, but Jayce only clung tighter, his breath hot and uneven against Viktor’s skin. His wild, desperate gaze locked onto Viktor’s, his pupils blown wide, his grip bruising.
“Don’t say that. Don’t you fucking dare.”
Viktor swallowed, staring back with wide eyes; but Jayce wasn’t done. “I don’t care what you think you are. I don’t care if you think you're poison. You are not leaving me.” His voice cracked, “I won’t let you.” It sounded more like a sob than a demand.
Jayce trembled violently. His fingers dug into Viktor’s arms, nearly bruising. He let out a pained exhale, head dropping heavy onto Viktor’s shoulder. “You won’t leave… right?”
When Jayce wakes to find Viktor missing one morning from their cottage, he spirals into a panic that borders on madness, convinced that Viktor has left him for good.
