Ivan’s expression was equal parts sheepish yet arrogant, like the knowing look of a dog who kept inching closer to eat from your plate after you’ve already told it to stop.
The unending silence in their apartment was deafening. Every time Ivan fumbled, Till only lost more faith in their relationship. Come to think of it, even the things Ivan did do right never seemed to be enough for him either. Dying to know why and sick of their mental health clashing, Ivan is forced to gather up enough courage to bridge an impossible gap.

"You're avoiding me." It's stated as a fact, something in the way Till's teal eyes stare holes into the back of his hooded head tells him he wont be getting away this time.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Ivan mumbles, his head turns only enough to catch a peak at Till's face, the black mask obscuring his features from Till's desperate gaze. "You've got the wrong person." It's weak, a pathetic excuse that neither of them buy. Ivan watches as Till's expression of disbelief morphs into a familiar frustration. It takes him by surprise how desperately his heart beats within his chest, it truly hits him for the first time in years how long it's been since he's seen the man before him. The back of his wild grey hair fading from view backdropped by a blazing orange night sky used to haunt his every waking moment, follow him into his slumber and taunt him on a constant loop. He felt as if even the slightest move would change too much, too quickly. Ivan has a job to do, and for once, Till isn't at the forefront of his mind.Ivan knows he's lying to himself.

It was during one of those rare quiet moments, a stolen hour in his apartment, Till opened a Twitter account on impulse. This wasn't some deliberate move, no grand plan to suddenly connect with people, or express some deep inner self, but more of a reflex.
Choosing the username TillTheEnd, a private joke given the irony that despite the bad coffee and annoyingly self-serving seniors like Luka, and perhaps because of the bright spot that was Mizi, a part of him felt stuck there, Till started scrolling, not expecting much until Ivan's tweets popped up.
The way Till saw it, Ivan's Twitter feed? A strange mix of sad poetry and what Till just had to call emo ramblings, yet this dramatic style, it struck him as kind of funny, especially since he was so down to earth himself.
For a few days, their back-and-forth online continued, Till enjoying being the sensible opposite to Ivan's over the top declarations, until a DM notification popped up on his screen.

Till is a miserable and pathetic individual— staying inside the same room all day all night, it must get tiring for him to play online games everyday and call it a routine. He’s passed college, but doesn’t plan on even working at all.
Ivan, by contrast, keeps healthy and works at any chance he can get. It’s tough, really, but he’s known for always succeeding and being the perfect boy. Ironic how these two even became friends in the first place.
