Summary
Viktor has always been content with his place in the world, overlooked and alone. Now that he has Jayce, he isn't sure how much longer he can stand it. Not when what he wants so desperately, what he knows he can never have, is always right there. Just out of his reach.

While Viktor and his adopted sister Sky were both raised in the Undercity, Babette made sure that they both got a chance to apply to the Academy, yet the siblings still pursued their passion in extertainment. As reconciliation begins between both cities, Glasc Industries starts buying up property, and so, to protect his home and family, Viktor is now tangled in a debt to none other than the matriarch herself - Renata Glasc.

Summary
In the aftermath of Jayce & Viktor's final stand against the Hexcore in the spectral plane, Piltover rebuilds. Zaun thrives. Two nations are finally bridged together and the damage done by the Arcane's corruption is healing.
Jayce and Viktor have both disappeared, sent through a fracture in the fabric of their world to awaken in Revachol, a frayed isolary trapped between reality and the the Pale, a liminal space where time, memory, and emotion are devoured. For Jayce, the memories of Piltover, the Arcane, and his bond with Viktor remain vivid and haunting, feeding off the last of his sanity as he tries to grapple with a new identity he has little memory of. He is, by all accounts, a detective sent to Martinaise to investigate a body with a “suspicious” cause of death.
As the investigation deepens, the Pale begins to fray, revealing glimpses of their previous life, insight into the sickness of this new world, and something far more sinister.
The Arcane isn't finished with Viktor yet, and it won't hesitate to destroy this world in a battle with The Pale to get what it wants.

Exhaling, Jayce scribbles the words down on paper before he can second guess himself. There’s something about seeing the question staring back up at him that makes it all feel more real. But he also feels calmer. Feels his head clear. He knows how to do this, at least. Knows how to test a theory and get results based on gathering data. No matter what, he’ll get an answer to the question now recorded in black ink on the page.

They were ready to be the final tithe to the arcane, a penance for their hubris and folly, until the Mage took their place. With the last of his power, they are thrown into another timeline, another life.
A second chance. A new life to live, in a world where minds do not know of magic. Of a world that harnessed different technology. One that never knew of them, or their crimes, their follies.
Jayce and Viktor now have to learn to navigate this new world, this new chance, and the ache they carry. They need to learn to heal, to move forward.
