Summary
When her great grandchildren fail to exhibit magical gifts, Alma Madrigal believes it is because only her offspring can produce children with magical gifts. Alma uses Bruno to breed with women she finds outside the Encanto and raises them in an "orphanage" high in the mountains. Deciding a gift-less Mirabel could be useful as a caretaker for the children, she becomes the only other person in the family besides Bruno privy to her evil breeding experiments.
This is primarily a Brumira ship story. A very, very traumatic Brumira story. (With a good ending.)
In this story, magical gifts emerge naturally after birth at various ages dependent on the gift and are not dependent on the gifting ceremony/ doors.

Summary
