    And yes, one still falls for her prince's best friend/bodyguard (who also happens to be *A WITCH* as well as a faerie complete with green green skin, but semantics and shedoesn'tcare!!)... *but THE OTHER* just so happens to meet and get along VERY WELL with *Mr. Berkley Beetle's* brotherorcousinornephew somewhere along the line. -Oh! AND they all happen to meet a *nice friendly* Mole who is ALREADY in a lovely steady relationship, thankyouverymuch, Uncle dearest.

    -In other words, though 'Lina's still lost and bewildered after being snatched from her home, she's not alone. *Not by any means*. (Especially so when *ANOTHER sister* [now] no bigger than one's thumb 'thanks' to a trio of BAD *EVIL* witches happens to come along as well in a burst of magical light the night after meeting Prince Cornelius, Prince Peter, and Bodyguard/Grand Vizier-In-Training Elphaba Diggs...!)

    While Pinocchio and Jiminy are *SWIMMING back* to Home and Geppetto from Pleasure Island, the Tornado in Kansas also happens to scoop THEM up- in the form of a *HURRICANE*!! A Cyclone both tropical and not plus *a SPELL* that cause 'Pinoke' and a certain now-cursed farmhand to *switch places*... meaning that in a little bit, Pinocchio's in OZ and *Hickory* plus his transgendered sweetheart 'Nimmie Amee' are in Pariva, Italy! -Meaning that now poor Pinocchio is *FAR FAR AWAY FROM* his father and Figaro and Cleo and HOME...
    Pure Accident??? NOTSOMUCH (*we ALL* know who to blame for this!!)...

    This CRUSHES 'Pinoke(s)', of course, causing him to break down crying- which means that it's *tears* and not A Groan (TM) that Dorothy Gale, Toto, and Hunk | Scarecrow eventually hear in the apple orchard near The Forest. Which means it's PINOCCHIO THE PUPPET AND JIMINY CRICKET plus a couple more friends Old and New who join the party alongside Zeke | The Lion rather than Hickory | Tin Man and end up clearing one Witch's name, exposing and bringing another to Justice along with a *TRUE Heartless*, freeing both a 'Wizard' and a long-lost Princess... and finding Love along the way.

    Once upon a time in New York City, a spunky orphan girl/foster kid and sweet hurt abandoned puppet-boy both go looking for their Dream- *their FAMILY*- and eventually find it where they least expect it...

    Elphaba Margaret Cynthia Thropp-Diggs has *ALWAYS* been different- inwardly and outwardly. *No surprise there*, considering that she's the child of two very different worlds as well as a Witch born and GREEN: Oz and the good ol' USA, North America! (Not to mention an *AFFAIR child*, which didn't help matters in the least...) Will Stacks??? Fairly normal- just nearly as lonely and alone as 'the Wicked Witch of the West'. They're not exactly what you would call 'friends' much less *'besties'* like Elphaba and Boq Ethan Woodsman... but they're *friend-LY* enough with each other.

     

    And then, one day, a hard-knock life becomes much easier and a rainbow appears in the sky as well as the Wishing Star... Or, Annie Bennett and Will Stacks and Pinocchio Orfano and Elphaba Thropp-Diggs accidentally meet and experience a feeling so SUDDEN and *new* and fervid as a flame the moment they respectively lay eyes on each other. Does it have a name?? *Yes*...!

    We all know how very much both Geppetto and Thumbelina's mother wish for a child of their own in just about any universe, yes? ...Well, what happens when we mix the two stories together: Geppetto still gaining his long-wished-for little boy (emphasis on *LITTLE boy*) by way of a magical pine seed from a good witch?
    Pinocchio is a sweet and kind lad who always tries his best to please his beloved Father and wants very badly to make friends, but is made fun of for being a 'goody-two-shoes' and/or not being like his fictive wooden counterpart like OTHER *'REAL' boys*; he loves his Father and their cat Figaro very much, but his large heart is still empty as Geppetto's was before 'Little Wooden-Head' came along... until one night, after a particularly bad day of bullying when he tried to go to school with the other children, he hears someone singing outside of his window and soon befriends the music-maker- Jiminy Cricket.

    Some years down the line, 'Pinoke' and Jiminy are still best friends, but something more blossoms between them one starry night...

    What if Pinocchio was not able to become a "real REAL *live* *LIVING boy*" just after his original adventures ...though through *NO fault* of *his own*?? Not only that, but his wooden *donkey ears and tail* *HAVEN'T disappeared*?? You see, Geppetto's not just a fabricator of clocks, toys, and 'oddments'- he's also *a WILHERN*, though a 'disgraced' one. And unfortunately Penelope's curse has just extended to Pinocchio (it was actually ALWAYS present- the Blue Fairy, bless her heart, magicked the ears and tail invisible when she granted Geppetto's wish so that neither one would panic or be upset ...key word being TRIED; then the Coachman's gaslighting plus Pleasure Island happened...), and now it's become known that it's not just proving himself brave, truthful, unselfish, and learning the difference between right and wrong that will make him 'real': only until one of theirs' and Penelope's own kind (AKA a 'blue-blood') claims the latter girl as their own 'til death do they part, will the curse of the pig-girl and little wooden donkey-boy be broken...

    Meanwhile, it's not just Pinocchio who managed to escape Pleasure Island and the evil Coachman's clutches...

    When Dorothy Gale tried to vanquish the Wicked Witch of the West as ordered to by the Wonderful Wizard of Oz by way of melting her, she accidentally also splashed the pages of the Grimmerie, inciting/triggering its' magic and whisking them *ALL* away- meaning the Witch, herself, and her little dog Toto, too. As a result, everyone in the land of Oz sorrowfully thinks that both she and the other Wicked Witch are dead... but they couldn't be more wrong.

    No- nonono! Instead, Dorothy Gale, Miss Elphaba Thropp-Diggs, and Toto are whisked back Over the Rainbow... but NOT *back to Kansas*. Where DO they end up, then??? In New York, New York, it turns out- where Dorothy is adopted by the not-so-Wicked witch who becomes a nurse/doctor since she still wants to make good.

     

    One of her patients just so happens to be a certain former puppet-boy no more Wicked than she... and *HIS aunt* (who happens to be a FAERIE rather than a sorceress)?? Well, she eventually becomes 'Mama Elphie's' *BELOVED* and a surrogate aunt to the sweet sweet boy mainly known as either 'Pinoke(s)' or 'Nocchi...

    But Elphaba and Dorothy Gale's adventure/journey is FAR FROM over, it turns out...

    What if Geppetto was not allowed to keep Pinocchio as he was and is a toy to start with; *a CHILD'S* toy?? After all, he IS a toymaker- and that means creating playthings for *others* to enjoy. So Pinocchio basically becomes a wooden doll (no strings attached, at least), and he is sold to Christopher Robin's mother for a Christmas gift for him; Jiminy Cricket and his beloved best friend/boyfriend Timothy Q. Mouse, feeling sorry for Geppetto, follow after Pinocchio...

    Soon, despite being human in appearance, Pinocchio (alongside Jiminy and Timothy) is as much as a fixture in the room of Christopher Robin as his other stuffed toys- living in the Hundred Acre Wood with all of his friends as found family, and Roo, Kessie, and Christopher Robin as friends close to his own age ...that is, until Christopher Robin begins to grow up. And Pinocchio, who has fallen for the sweet-natured and creative but often-bullied other boy (and unbeknownst to him, the feeling is mutual), yearns MORE THAN *ANYTHING* to be *TRULY Real*.

    He looks and sounds JUST LIKE 'poor Erik' from both Gaston Leroux's *ORIGINAL* 'Phantom of the Opera' and Susan Kay's 'Phantom'... Jiminy *well knows* this- he's heard it all his life either to his face or whispered behind his back ...but he NEVER ONCE expected it to turn out to be a *GOOD thing*- for someone putting on a production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's POTO wishing to put some more Leroux and Kay into the mix to say outright, '*You have THE PART*, and THAT'S THAT; never mind that you're *not* French!'

    He's supposed to either HATE or at least *DIS-like* 'le Vicomte Raoul de Chagny' ...but *just HOW* can he bring himself to truly loathe such a fair sweet innocent boy??? (Answer: *he can't*. Not *OFF-stage*-!)

     

    Meanwhile, Pinocchio really truly does reunite with his childhood friend Miss Wendy Moira Angela Darling ...and has his heart stolen almost right away by a certain 'Opera Ghost' with the features of a cricket and the voice of a selkie when they first meet.     Where does Pinocchio end up, meanwhile??? Down in the underground home of a certain Angel of Music/Phantom of the Opera named 'Erik' under the Palais Garnier Opera in Paris, France. Where he and Gemini plus a stowaway Spring also meet Ayesha the Siamese and 'the Persian' Nadir Khan- two of Monsieur Erik's only friends in the world.

    Erik usually truly trusts *NOBODY*, ...but a certain Real-as-anyone-else-SO THERE boy with eyes as bluesweetinnocent as Christine's, his own 'faerie kisses' and facial features, and of the same ethnicity and hair-color as Luciana who's been through Hell as much as he soon changes that quick-smart -before and after The Unmasking. (-And so does a 'childhood friend' of *Pinocchio's*, later...)
