Maybe it was meant to end like this? At least he won't be torn apart by pack of lickers or eaten alive by horde of the undead, at least that was something positive. At least he wasn't a rotting corpse mindlessly walking in the darkness searching for something living he could attack and tear it's insides out of it's body like a hungry animal, rip it apart and feed on it. At least he's not laying on a dirty concrete floor with detached head, chest cut open and rearranged guts on display.

Unfortunately, you guys get seperated, but Leon manages to find Ashley during your brief time apart(before she ended up running away from him after attempting to stab him so he has to try and find her again). When he finally finds you in the middle of searching for Ashley, you end up dying in his arms. At least he thought you did. But when he once he knows you're still alive, he thinks you'd still fall for him while you're engaged to another man. You don't, he gets mad, fight ensues, fight ends with him storming out, and maybe more shit after that
