As if summoned by the thought of combat, the distinct sounds of a fight reached Leon’s ears from somewhere off to the northeast. Cursing under his breath, Leon tightened his grip on his combat knife and stalked in that direction. The spider-people were fast up close but couldn’t cross distances, so maybe if he could distract it, whatever civilian was getting attacked would have the chance to flee.
The last guy he expected to find pinned to the dirt by a hissing, spitting spider-person was Piers Nivans.
(Or the one where Leon uses Piers's rifle and it's hot.)

Finn could only hope the river’s passive wrath was much more resilient than he was. That it's strength would win over his fear.
Another shaky breath filled his lungs with a painful cold that made them ache. A part of him was already missing the warmth of the fire and his bed back at base camp. His comrades continued to sleep soundly in their beds unaware that they'll wake to morning roll call with one less body lining up to greet their Captain. Finn didn't necessarily want to hurt them like this. They were good men. He could only hope they would forgive his selfishness in this moment of weakness.

Maybe it was meant to end like this? At least he won't be torn apart by pack of lickers or eaten alive by horde of the undead, at least that was something positive. At least he wasn't a rotting corpse mindlessly walking in the darkness searching for something living he could attack and tear it's insides out of it's body like a hungry animal, rip it apart and feed on it. At least he's not laying on a dirty concrete floor with detached head, chest cut open and rearranged guts on display.

‘Is he getting violent?’ The lieutenant didn’t care much about Jake and his antics but if he was threatening his men then it was a different story. The guy was freaky strong when he could think rationally so Jake drunk out of his mind could be less funny. He assumed there were other soldiers at The Apple, especially considering the day’s celebration, but he’d still bet his money on the mercenary.
‘Not exactly… He’s, erm…’ Finn drifted off.
‘Finn?...’
‘He’s really horny.’ “
For the first time in a long time Piers is actually relaxing but since when is the universe so kind?...

It didn't matter how many years it had been since Africa, Chris still couldn't shake the nightmares that accompanied him like a morbid souvenir of that place.
He owed his life to Sheva. After she killed the Ndesu, she stabilized Chris’ injuries with tourniquets to stop the bleeding long enough for a BSAA medical evacuation chopper to land in the village center and take them to the nearest safe point. While Chris was taken in immediately for emergency surgery, Sheva reunited with Josh Stone, and together they tracked down Excella to put an end to Tricell once and for all.
It was a bittersweet victory. While Jill’s life was saved, Chris had been fighting for his own life on the operating table.

Africa ended differently, permanently altering Chris' fate for the foreseeable future. Years later, he is left with a new purpose and a laundry list of hurdles to accompany it in the name of a better future, for the BSAA and the world as a whole. Sacrificing a part of himself in the process may be more than Chris can truly handle when the events in Edonia don't play out exactly as planned. Trapped between two worlds and two loves, he faces new challenges. -

Sherry nodded determinedly. “It's in his blood. I have the data on his genome and everything. I was sent to retrieve Mr. Muller because his blood is the key for a cure.”
“His blood-” Chris’ thought was cut short by another. This felt eerily familiar, and he couldn't shake that phantom sense of recognition that hit him the first time he laid eyes on the man. It was something about his face, the look in his eyes, the way he moved and held himself. It rang too close to someone else Chris knew. Someone else who had the antibodies, and who suffered with worsened vision problems in the aftermath of virus exposure.
“Sherry, I need you to be honest with me.” He measured his words with the utmost care so as not to pressure her too much. He understood the precarious position she was currently in with her present job, and was prepared that, much like Leon, she may be unable to speak about certain aspects of her assignment. Her attention fixed on Chris with a nervous expectancy. “Is Jake Muller related in any way to Albert Wesker?”
Her eyes went huge, and that was the only confirmation Chris needed.
