Summary
Just a few years before the world ended, a kid barely eight years of age showed up at the gates of Ericson’s Boarding School for the Troubled Youth. Just like any other kid – with tons of emotional baggage, unceremoniously dumped by their parents, and ignored in the eyes of the school staff. At the very least, the kid wasn’t on the outside for too long.
“My dad used to hit me a lot,” a blonde boy spoke up at lunchtime.
“Oh, mine hates me,” a boy with freckles and his hair in twists joined in. “... He won’t even look me in the eyes anymore.”
The new kid blinked at the boys, before quietly adding, “My dad’s dead.”

There are five episodes just like the game and in each of those episodes there are five chapters and the first of each one is a flashback FYI. Mallory Thompson was broken long before the world ended. She had landed herself a place within a school designed for those who were deemed a threat to society, and the school had been her home for almost nine years. She wasn't alone though as she had her twin brother and best friend alongside her the whole way. But still, opening up and allowing herself not to be consumed by her anger was not an easy route to take, and so she often slipped into the shadows until she burst at the seams.
And when an unexpected turn of events reveals things about her past, she struggles to hold on and not completely lose herself.
