Follows the timeline of Ivar the Boneless' life through a combination of depiction in the show Vikings and historical accounts. Ivar/OC, rather slow burn to begin with, but charts their relationship afterward.

This was reflected in the people, the Picts too, especially when it came to one. The chief’s daughter. She looked unassuming enough at first glance, and indeed, he hadn’t given her more thought than that she was mildly pretty when he saw her for the first time, looking like any shieldmaiden as she did. Still, Ivar should have known by the fact that her face did indeed stand out to him that there was more to her than met the eye.
On a second look, Ivar realised that Belena was tall and well-built and would have no doubt had no end of suitors for her given her sheer beauty and status, but she remained single. Ivar had asked her father about this and had been informed that because she had been sent down to earth as the embodiment of Belenus, their God of fire, she could never marry. That confused Ivar. Surely anyone blessed like that by the Gods like he had been should pass on their blood to the next generation.
