What used to be the Kingdom of Vingulmark is now called Oslo, capital city of Norway, where police investigator Lars Haaland and his partner Alfhildr Enginnsdottir ignore that the boy's arrival is about to throw a curveball into their already messy lives. Meanwhile in the 9th century, an unaware Ivar the Boneless is ready and able to battle the English once more.
