Kuroo rolls his eyes, which Yaku catches and snorts, saying “Come on, Kai, we aren’t THAT bad”. Kuroo hesitates before he huffs at that, then jabs, saying “Careful Yakkun, you almost sound like you’re defending me there…”
“I’m not, roosterhead” he grins, like a cat that got the cream, “ I’m defending uS—AND DON’T CALL ME THAT”
Kuroo grins and scans the chalkboard menus, overlaid on the cream colored walls, unfamiliar with most of the items, before he settles on something he knows.’
“ Whatever you say, Yakkun” He steps up to the counter “One black coffee please”Or; In which Kuroo Tetsuro orders an extra drink in a shop for Yaku while he's away, and the fallout of this slip up over the course of the year.

Morisuke doesn’t usually make exceptions.
He’s a very straightforward person—he loves being a libero and showing others the beauty of defense, he can barely stand incompetent and impudent people, and he’s perfectly comfortable with his undisturbed, very normal senior year. He lives by his rules and assumptions so as not to make his last year of high school any harder or more complicated than it already is.
Haiba Lev, in his nearly two meters of pure stupidity, might just be the biggest exception Morisuke’s ever had to make.

It comes in the form of a little crimson gift box. A flimsy ink-colored ribbon dangles limply from the roof of the box. Splotches of water spread from its cardboard sides barely missing the simple white gift tag that rests on top of the ribbon.
The box is filled to the brim with shredded computer paper, flimsy and useless tucked away in the corner untouched by the rain. In the center of the paper is a notecard. It's thick and tough like ivory and written in the middle in neat little scribbles is a message that still haunts Kenma to this day
