Cortese attacks Amphipolis and young Xena tries to defend her city, but she is defeated and enslaved. Cortese continues his raid, attacking Potidaea and also enslaving Gabrielle. These enslaved women follow different paths in their lives, but they meet again and perhaps, together, they may change their tragic fates.

When a strange illness and disputes among the Scythian tribes arise, a desperate king fears for his son's safety.
