Summary
This is, I guess, something like a "behind the scene" bit that accompanies Chapter 23 of "Suscitatio", where Anders receives the vallaslin from Keeper Marethari. The end scene, if slightly changed due to POV, of said chapter is incorporated.
According to Merrill in party banter with Fenris, the vallaslin is indeed made of blood or at least a component of the ink used for the tattoos. Well, have you wondered about the components of Anders' ink? Here's the answer!
