Brink lifts his head to raise an eyebrow at Wolfwood.
“You’re not kidnapping me.”
“Too late, I’m already about 3 steps there.”

"I’m glad," Legato replied.
But something about the look in Punisher's eyes rankled him. He looked smug, like he knew a secret that Legato could never understand even after a thousand years. When he stalked away, he seemed to hide that precious secret from Legato's view. It was really quite annoying.
It made him want to know.
Or: what would a misanthrope like Legato Bluesummers be willing to grow attached to? Why not an android?
