Summary
After setting off an old kryptonite experiment, Jon quickly discovers that it isn't just his powers that are lost- but also his sense of sight and hearing.
In other words, he's gone completely deaf and blind.
Now, until the gas wears off, he's got to manage surviving in a world full of darkness, all while being quarantined in Wayne Manor to prevent infecting any other Kryptonians. Luckily, Damian is there for him every step of the way, which should honestly feel a little embarrassing... but Jon wouldn't want anyone else by his side.
On the other hand, Damian is determined to take proper care of his best friend and refuses to leave his side. Not because he was in love with him or anything, but because that was what best friends did. So naturally, he allows Jon to rest in his room, keeps him company during this nightmare, and assists in nursing him back to health, all while hoping for a return to normalcy.
And if waiting it out gave the two of them an excuse to hold each other so close, well. Who were they to complain?

“I’d like to ask you something possible awkward.” Damian said as Jon was taking a bite of his croissant, his brows going up slightly to show he was listening as Damian tilted his head regarding Jon with interest. “Is this a date?”
Jon promptly began choking on his food as it got sucked into his throat at the last question Jon had been expecting from Damian today. Or ever for that matter! The ruckus of him trying to dislodge the bread from his windpipe startled several of the cats that’s were nearby their table, causing one to sprint off and alarmed other cats causing a bit of chaos in the enclosure.

They had been working a case in…what country did they end up in? Jon couldn’t remember but it had them running all over most of Europe and Damian could speak whatever language the person at the front desk spoke so what he care where they ended up? Jon had booked this hotel online which was in English and he just wanted to sleep so he picked on of the first things he saw that had high enough ratings. They had everything taken care of and would fly home on an afternoon flight back to America, so Jon was looking forward to sleeping in.
Problem was, in his delirium, he misunderstood the booking he made and now the Super Sons had ended up in the very last room in this hotel in the dead of night in who knows where with...one bed.

It wasn’t certain if it was the light trickling in through the window he had forgotten to draw the curtains over last night or the soft breath on his neck that had woken Damian Wayne up that morning. He should know better by now to go out with his oldest brother and let him drag him to a club of all places, but… perhaps it hadn’t been so bad last night.
Damian glanced down and saw the owner of the soft breathing that was tickling his neck still sound asleep and honestly just as beautiful as he had thought last night, so he hadn’t had that much to drink at least.
Still, it didn’t exactly explain his impulsive behavior last night if that was true. Damian wasn’t exactly the impulsive type to begin with, he liked order and structure and planning. This was…not planned. It certainly hadn’t been something he had even considered when he accepted Dick’s invitation, he thought they would just have a few drinks but it turned into drinks, dancing, and of course…meeting Jon.
