“I want it so badly, and they didn't even- they didn’t even want it! They didn't even try! Fuck, I shouldn't think like this- they’re our pack, we need to keep them safe and I am scared I’ll-” he choked on his words, not able to vocalize them.Not able to admit out loud what hid in his deepest core.
“...I swear I’m trying…” he whimpered softly.
“I am pushing the feelings all down, they don’t deserve to see this- the pack needs me, needs us and I just-”“Keralis, love-” Xisuma started gently, his hand still brushing through his hair. Voice gentle, as if he was talking to an injured animal.
Worry. Worry. Worry. Protect. Love.
The omega lifted his head to look into his mate’s eyes, inhaling shakily before he blurted out:

As the two figures disappeared into the distance, Ren stood there for a moment, lost in thought. His gaze lingered on the path ahead, where families walked by, couples chatted, and children laughed. The noise of the park seemed distant now, muffled by the thoughts swirling in his mind.
Then it hit him. That feeling, a quiet longing he'd always harbored. Something he had long since put on the backburner when he joined Hermitcraft, when he met and fell in love with Doc, mated another alpha.
Ren wanted a kid, a family.
