Summary
It seems that Tom's shift at the local bar would be pretty uneventful- until he begins to feel the beginning pangs of his heat rapidly approaching. Despite trying to find someone else to take his shift, he's stuck there until further notice.
Paul may be there to protect him, but the real problem lies with the company he brought with. Tord has always been an asshole, but at least it seems to hold him up well in a fight?

This is a somewhat long ABO fic that'll go through John's first pregnancy in 1964 to their settlement as a "big happy family" in the 70s, passing through a shitload of the canon drama and angst of the late 60s adapted to fit the story. TW: I went off rails with the amount of angst, but I swear it was necessary in order to really address the therapy they needed before settling as a happy marriage.
