The day the music died had started like any other typical day. During the late afternoon, Yelena and Natasha had chased each other on the playground and watched enthusiastically at lamp bugs with Mom. Afterwards, they went home together to set the table for dinner, before Dad would return home from work. Just when they were ready, the front door was audibly closed and announced that Daddy was home.
The girls sat down at the dining table; Yelena took her usual seat to Mom’s right. Dad came in and asked about their day.
