She had sat there and watched, weeks and weeks by his side, as he was gripped by fever and bedridden, his skin pallor and with a sickly sheen, watching the kindness and innocence of childhood in her brother's eyes gradually slipping away, replaced with something else; something dark, devoid of hope and almost sinister in its darkness.

Through forces outside their control Edward does not die immediately in the games room; with his daughter taken and his wife unproductive that leaves his son to try and hold the pieces together as they fall apart. He tries to stem the blood with a pearly white cloak unknowingly forcing spirits into them. SEQUEL TO FORSAKEN FRIEND: ESCAPE.
After faking his suicide at Hogwarts to escape his horrible situation in the Wizarding World, Harry is brought to Kenway Mansion by his godfather Sirius Black so that Harry can join the British Brotherhood of the Assassins in the hope of fighting Voldemort underground. Realising he must get quick training, the Council allow him to use the Animus to take advantage of the bleeding effect, preparing him for his own missions in the future.
Meanwhile, Hermione realise how badly she failed her best friend and decide to join the Assassin Brotherhood - just like her parents before her - to fight Voldemort, hoping for redemption and when the opportunity arise, she goes to Kenway Mansion.
She is, of course, quite shocked to learn that Harry is still alive.
An Harry Potter x Assassin's Creed crossover story featuring Harry and Hermione as the main characters, both being Assassins and fighting against Voldemort and his Death Eaters together.
A Harry/Hermione story which begins with angst but quickly turn into fluff.

And even if that happened, what are the chances of Haytham Kenway discovering his hidden paternal emotions and directing them at his great-great-great-great-however-many-generations-grandson? And why is the Animus sassing Shaun with such bad spelling?
These questions, and more that you would probably have to be using drugs to think up, might or might not be answered within.
Rated T for language and immature comments about sex. No relationships other than mention of past canon (Haytham/Ziio, Altair/Maria) or historical (Anne Bonny/various and sundry lovers) ones, and various OCs. There is a non-graphic underage rape scene in chapter 12 and some discussion of the topic afterwards, for those who may be triggered.
