Relive. Relearn. Renew. These are the words Edward Kenway has in mind when he wakes up on the beach in 1715. He's been given a second chance, a second life. To whosoever finds this room, the first line read, in a hand steady enough to be legible, with only the slightest shake, as though whoever wrote it knew that their time was soon coming to an end.

Edward shrugged, and licked his fingers to get the last of the churro off of it. “Sure, but this is just about the only place I can eat in peace these days,” he said. “I’d offer, but I’m afraid I’m down to Caroline’s reserved churro.” He hopped off the angel and placed the last churro at the base, and gave the headstone a fond pat.

He'll set on a journey across the caribbean's recreating the steps of the infamous Edward Kenway. What he doesn't realize is that he has done the journey before, he just doesn't remember.
A modern universe reincarnation story I wrote, because the present day part of Black flag was, quite frankly, awful. Constructive criticism is always welcome and appreciated.

A slowburn Kiddway that takes place after each of Mary and Edward's encounters after she reveals herself. Stays true to the plot of Black Flag while exploring a possible romance between Edward and Mary. Future chapters will have mature content.
