"I said come to me,” he growled. Toji’s smirk faltered for just a heartbeat, but the cruel glint in his eyes remained as he tightened his grip on the knife. “I said… come to me,” he repeated, voice low, slurred, dangerous.
The bouncer’s posture didn’t waver. Slowly, deliberately, he slipped a pistol from the waistband of his pants, letting it rest easily at his side—but the motion was deliberate enough to make Toji notice. The cold glint of metal caught the dim bar lights.
“So,” the bouncer said, voice low, calm, a faintly cruel amusement threading through it, “how many bullets do you got?”
A sharp voice cut through the tense chaos of the bar. “Getou! Hey, Getou!”
All eyes flicked toward the bartender, standing near the back of the bar, voice ringing with authority and worry. “If he’s saying he wants to go with him, you have to let him! Don’t just… don’t just hold him back!”
Gojo’s small frame trembled as he stepped forward, each hesitant movement a mixture of fear and ingrained loyalty. His lips quivered, tears still streaking his cheeks, and he kept his gaze down, unable to meet Toji’s directly.
